Holy Week Resources

Here you will find devotions and music for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. The Easter Service will be posted on our Worship at Home page.

Holy Week is a week filled with many emotions and grief. The week starts with Palm Sunday as Jesus makes his way into Jerusalem for Passover, riding on a donkey, being praised as king. Maundy Thursday’s setting is around a table with Jesus and his disciples eating a meal. In the Gospel of John we hear of Jesus washing his disciples feet and calling them to wash one another’s feet, for he is setting an example for them. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke has Jesus and his disciples at the Passover meal where Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper.

The events, feelings and emotions that occur on Maundy Thursday lead us into Good Friday. We know we are not perfect and never will be. We see this in the actions of Judas and Peter. We are made aware of our own sin and failures. Our of God’s love for his, Jesus is willing is taken to the cross where he is crucified.

As we gather virtually, we pray these devotions by Pastor Brad and Pastor Randy help you to reflect on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Each devotion is followed by a song for meditation and reflection by our organist/pianist Bryan. May these videos and devotions guide you in worship and help you to walk the path of Jesus this Holy Week.

The devotions are written out as well as recorded. Feel free to download the devotion or watch it on video. Again, at the end of the devotion there is music provided by Bryan.
